Thank you to Rory lynch transport
The season of goodwill is alive and well here in Drumgeely and St.Senan’s ….
We want to express our sincere gratitude to Rory Lynch Transport for their generous contribution of €1,130 to our school’s development fund! Peter Tim Lynch, from Lynch Transport was the driving force for this event.
With the help of Aidy Carew, Peter set up a cards game on Sunday, the 18th of December in the Crossroads Bar, Shannon and kindly gifted the proceeds of the night, along with an additional donation from Rory Lynch Transport to our school's development fund.
A massive thank you to Peter and Aidy for calling into us yesterday to present us with their generous donation. We will use their contribution for colourful yard markings to make lunchtime even more fun for our active pupils, watch this space in the new year!

here everyday ready on time
We are holding our first ever HERO attendance month, commencing next
Monday 28th November until 21st December (18 school days).
HERO stands for: Here Everyday, Ready On Time.
We know the past two years have been very difficult attendance wise, so we want to now get back to encouraging punctuality in the mornings (8:50 – bell time, not after) and being here in school any day that you are well enough to be here. If your child must go to an appointment please message the teacher/secretary to inform them & drop them back to school afterwards so we can mark them in as present.
If your child has been marked present and on time for the full week they will be entered into a class draw each Friday to win a prize.
At the end of the 18 days the class with the best attendance will be rewarded with a class prize (to be decided by the teacher & students).
“Research has shown again and again that regular school attendance is vital in helping children get the best possible start in life,” (Bernard Gloster, Chief Executive of Tusla).
We will be holding H.E.R.O. month again in February encourage excellent attendance.
Give your child the best start to their day by having them in school on time.

Pupils are now invited to complete a test on their AR book at home after school hours.
Children from 1st - 6th Class have been using the programme for the last number of years so are well versed on how to complete a test independently.
Teachers are connected to the site so we will receive notification on pupils targets as well as scores achieved. Please note it is important that children complete the test on their own.
